A Second Chance!!!

IT is not that everyone in life gets a second chance. You can very well ask the importance of the second chance who has just survived a fatal accident, who has survived after a natural calamity like floods, quakes etc or simply ask a player who has been back into the side after being dropped from playing at the first instance
In life we do get many chances it entirely depends on us on how do we utilise it to make a better life out of it.I am writing this because i have seen such cases who utilized this glirious opportunity & fought back to regain whatever they had lost. These are real life stories not just written for the sake of glorifying the importance of a 2nd chance.
First story is of my very own friend younger to me by a year or so.This frnd of mine was not a bright kid in his schooling life nor he was great at studies.he use to just manage to pass. But in 10th std he failed in two subjects as it in its very difficult to face people after failing in SSC the very HYPED examination in our society. So he was quite depressed by the but as i say there are 2nd chances so he managed to take control of one of them.He passed out boards and in the mean time he got to know himself as in his areas of inerest and he came to a conclusion taht he would make his career in COOKING.And as decided he went into hotel management and now he's cruising into success as he enjoyed his work.the other day when i met him i saw a completely different personality with immense Enthusiasm,Confidence &Energy.Such inspiring ws his fight..
The second story is of one of our family accquaintances.A person very good at heart, having lots of friends and a sort of HAPPY GO LUCKY person who enjoyed holidaying and partying with friends and in short a very happy man.But one incident changed his life.He was a Banker and once he was a guaranter for helping his friend in getting a loan of 20lakhs.But this friend of his was not able to repay the loan and now the burden of 20 lakhs came on this middle class person who had hardly expected this from his friend>he was completely destroyed because his friend defied him and secondly coz of the financial burden. So he restored to ALCOHOL to fight his problem inspite of the fact that he was diabetic and once operated. At this point no friend of his came to his rescue the same friends who njoyed his free parties showed a back to him. He was all alone but now his family came to his rescue but by this time he had lost all his belongings even his hard earned house. But then he himself decided to spring up in life and as i always say there is always a 2nd chance. In his life only good thing happened was his family supported him and gave him the confidence that he can regain whatever he lost.As he had his job on so 1st thing he did was he left alcohol secondly he left all his greedy friends and lived a completely different life than his previous one After such sacrifices he sprang back to a good life and now he's again settled in life in his own house and he learned to differentiate between a greedy friend and a real friend.Such was his fight truly emotional yet inspiring
Thus from the above to incidences its clear that life gives us chances the only thing we must do is identify them and make good use of it.Therefore my friends never be dishearten by failure because there is always A SECOND CHANCE

Festival of lights!!!

Here comes diwali with a bang and all of us definitely busy with the celebrations....
its a festival of lights in the true sense.the preparations for diwali begins atleast 15 days b4 there is a hustle and bustle all around people are happy and everyone enjoy it with true joy...
this festival touches each and every strata of the society and the way of celebration is some wat similar in every class of the society but the difference lies in the quantity of celebration as a poor cant effort to glow a big diya wic consumes a lot of oil as bt he glows the smaller diya..bt celebrates diwali...
sometimes i wonder that our Indian tradition has bestowed on us such a rich heritage and culture that v shud b thankful to our ancestors.each and every festival in our calender has some or the other reason in it and these festivals act as the bonding element btwn the ppl. as its during these festivals only v all come together to njoy and this imbibes in us a sense of social commitment and social awareness...Festivals acts as a tonic for our mental health. One needs exercise to maintain our physical health bt festivals help us maintanin the mental health...
Celebrating diwali also has many reasons as diwali comes in the month wen winter begins and our body undergoes a change in enviornment so v rightly eat all those sweets and heavy food items to compensate this change..there is a tradition of giving sweets to neighbours, relatives, frnds etc this builds up the society as in our daily life v r so busy that v hardly care abt who lives next door bt durin festivals only it happens that v interact much..we lit diyas and lanterns this is the way of filling lights in the darkness this darkness is the darkness of our ignorance thus it gives the message of removing ignorance frm our lives...thus each and every deed wic v do in diwali has some reasons
BUT we must not forget the child labour involved in making of our crackers this kills many of the children as they r involved in it as the labour is cheap..v must not forget that there is a problem of global warming so v must try n lit less crackers to reduce pollution so v can gift this tradition to future generation..v must try and do good deeds of atleast giving some of the sweets to less privileged as it wont affect much if v dont eat some bt it means a gr8 deal for the underprivileged...thus v must njoy the joy of giving during this diwali...we must not forget that just lightening up the diyas and lanterns v cannot remove darkness frm the lives of underprivileged instead it is by the good deeds of sharing our joy with them...
So this diwali v must come together for a cause of removing darkness frm the life of less fortunate so that v can say that diwali in true sense a festival of lights!!!!!

experience......a gr8 teacher!!!

Recently i had been to pune for a short trip i cant call it as a trip but it was a survey trip to see how is the atmosphere in pune for UPSC preperation. I and 2 of my friends had been there. The moment we stepped into pune station there were many auto rikshawala's hovering along the people who were arriving and they were charging a 10 rs distance to around 100rs which was ridiculous.we were nt fooled as v had this frnd of us who is living there so she is aware of this so called "bhamte's"(local name for rikshawalas in pune). so this was the welcome to us....
That day we were to live at our friend's hostel to experience the hostel life 1st we were quite excited about it but soon our excitement decayed exponentially.... we were there at her place this room of her was shared by 4 ppl..but as it is a new hostel built in her locality it was clean bt v visited the one's which lacked even basic neccesities like water..it was terrible to see as how do ppl live in a completely strange area just because they want to fullfill their dreams or some do live as htey dont hav any option...at the hostel the life is totally independent..U hav to do ur daily chores right from making ur 1st cup of tea of the day.then from washing clothes by self and in the afternoon waiting for the "dabbawala" to bring some food to eat..then study n then again the same routine..also v need to be quite alert as its not our home afterall..also if take a situation that v were to live at our home there v r quite protected and v do not hav to worry about our daily chores..also v dont hav to worry about our "budget"as in case of hostel life...but there are some positives attributed to hostel life is that v become independent..v can help room partner very well as v kno that v can also b in dat situation some day so a strong bond develops..the most importanmt thing that v hav is the "experience" of knowing the world so closely that in every walk of our life this experience becomes our good guide..and it shows us the other side of life...so that v can bcum a fine individual some fine day..thus always remember "experience is definitely a gr88 teacher"

Independence day celebrations.....

15th aug 2009, we celebrated our 62nd Independence day...its a day which is remembered by every Indian..And its a day to salute our national heros who laid their lives for our freedom..Its a day which is to be celebrated as our national festival..In each and every corner of our motherland this festival is celebrated with immense joy and pride. Its on this day that we unfurl our tricolour as a sign that we the people of India are the rulers of our country and that the soveriegnty of our State is intact with us..this day is our national holiday...so on and so forth....this is the standardised speech which we hear every Independence Day the only difference is the no of yr which v r celebrating it....
It is very "disheartning" to see the current celebrations of our national festival..On this Independence Day i just came to experience the grave reality as to how v Indians salute our nation on this day.this yr i had been at my aunt's place to celebrate the independence day.my aunt's place is a residential complex wherein there are about 200 flats and about 500 people residing there. On the eve of this day housing committe called the residents of the locality to take part in the I'day celebrations. And to my surprise only 50 people turned up for the celebration which means only 10% of ppl came to honour their nation. In his famous I'day speech by our 1st PM of independent India said" At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance.... We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again.....Truly v did discover a new era on that very epic day........
The time has now come to rediscover ourselves...when 62yrs back on the same day India rose from the deep sleep now we are just sleeping when v are to pay a tribute to our nation...The very practical reason for this negligence is that 15th aug is a national holiday so everyone is at home also if this day comes near to a weekend then its a treat to many as they get a long vacation where they can enjoy a long outing with their families unnoticing the fact that these responsible parents must stay back n nuture the feeling of national pride in the hearts of their children also they must make them aware of the fact that the nation which they are residing is free because of the sacrifices made by our national heros..A feeling of patriotism must be developed in them as they are the "torch bearers" of our country in the near future.Every Indian must celebrate this day with pride and pay a tribute to their nation and to make this possible i guess that this day v should not be given "national holiday" Instead offices, schools, colleges, and various must be open this day just to celebrate this very wonderful day atleast half day should be made "mandatory"..because if a particular thing is not made mandatory we tend to take it for "Granted" and i just feel that this Day should not be taken for granted..So we as Indians must rise for this occasion and try and make this National Festival to live upto its name and not just be enjoyed as any other "holiday"...its just essential to be aware of this fact that we hav fought for our freedom and this fight should not wither away from the minds of the new generation and as "responsible citizens " of free India we as a nation should stand for this cause......JAI HIND!!!

Birthday gift

Last yr My Birthday celebrations were on as they take place every year.lots of friends visited my place and i had a blast. The party was good it had cakes chocolates and all sort of junk food that we ppl always have.I had received nice Gifts and some of them very precious from my mom and dad.that day went on very smooth and just perfect.later that night i turned on my TV and saw a documentary featuring the deaths due to "malnourishment" in our country that sight of the documentary just pinched my heart. All the events of that day just past b4 my eyes that how did i celebrate my bday with havin loads of food n gifts and at da same time ppl of my country are falling prey to malnourishment n food scarcity......
That night a thought just came to my mind as to how should v ideally celebrate our Bday.. Its like u can save jus Rs.2 daily from ur spendings that u do on junk food n all sorts of wastage of vry valuable resource. After one year u would hav approx arounf Rs.750 or so.Now take that money and just find a place in your town where u can distribute Food items purchased by this amount..Or just visit an Orphanage and distribute the snacks to them and see the happiness on the faces of those children havin satisfied by your just a small deed of visiting them n givin them good food to them..Now the feeling of making those children happy is i biggest gift that u can give to yourself on your birthday...
India with a population of about 113crores so on each day there ll b thousands who ll b celebrating their bdays if 50% of them decide to celebrate their bday in this fashion i guess then the no. of deaths occuring due to malnourishment would reduce by atleast 10%...
So from this yr onward i hav decided to give this BIRTHDAY GIFT to myself and celebrate the bday in this fashion. So guys n gals just giv it a thought that our vry small deed can help changing life of many...............
